Diana Frost - Founder & Chairperson

Diana is of Algonquin mixed blood ancestry from Quebec. She is the founder of the Colouring it Forward social enterprise. A business that is very near to heart, she dreamt it, not too long after this powerful dream, she brought it into fruition. Diana is an amazing Artist and Musician. Sheila Norris - Executive Director

Sheila Norris is Cree Metis, who’s paternal ancestory is from Buffalo Lake, AB as well has made Moh’kinstsis her home most of her life. She is the executive director of both CIFRS and IndigeSTEAM. She is a mother of 2 sons, who she hopes to help connect with their culture, as she has just started her own journey to reconnect with hers. Sheila is grateful to be surrounded by the people involved with CIFRS as it will help her to connect more and give back to the community.

Joyce Healy - Elder

Joyce Healy is a member of the Kainai First Nation, which is part of the Blackfoot Confederacy. She teaches Blackfoot language and introduction to native studies at Lethbridge College. Sparked by a deep passion to keep the stories of the Blackfoot peoples alive and relevant, Us san gah gee/Joyce Marie Healy is driven to continue teaching Blackfoot culture and language as a post-secondary instructor and Indigenous relations consultant. Embracing her role as an emerging elder, she continues to learn from her elders to ensure the rich history, culture and language are maintained.

Marilyn Shingoose - Elder

Marilyn is Saulteaux First Nation and was born in Kamsack, Saskatchewan. She belongs to the Cote Nation in Treaty 4 Territory. Marilyn and many of her family members, including her mother and her siblings were all forced to go to Residential School. First hand, Marilyn understands the impacts of the Residential School System and has devoted her career by educating others while using her personal journey. Based in Calgary and area, she is facilitates and trains through workshops and ceremonies. Marilyn is a respected Elder, Wisdom and Knowledge Keeper.

Sandra Neill

Sandra Neill is a settler of Scottish and French descendants that settled in Ontario in the 1800s and in Quebec possibly earlier than that and grew up in various places in those two provinces. I have lived in Moh’kinstsis for 32 years and grateful to be on Treaty 7 land which I call my home. I am passionate about arts of all forms and about connecting people through art. In the past few years I was the Engagement Director of the Crescent Heights Community Association and was able to create opportunities for artists as well as enhance a sense of community and belonging through art – murals, mini galleries, curbside concerts, etc. Furthering this passion I opened Sparrow Artspace in August of 2021 which is a space of creativity, collaboration, and community. Jamie Rozema-Stinton

Oli Siska

Oli Siska, Piitaaki/Eagle Woman, is the Chief Development Officer, Community Relations at Red Iron Labs. She obtained her MBA in 2017. She is passionate about establishing relationships, mutual respect and working together to understand unique challenges faced by communities. Through these partnerships, she continues to lead and support culturally significant projects from inception to creation. As an advocate for change and a board member of CIF Reconciliation Society, she continues to make a difference in communities. She volunteers for the Blackfoot Language Revival Group to preserve language and culture.

Corinne Paul - Co-chairperson

Corinne Paul hails from Treaty 11 in the NWT and identifies as Métis although regaining her Dogrib Rae status after Bill C-31 passed in 1985. She is part of the IndigeSTEAM board, the chair of her oil & gas companies Indigenous employee resource group, and a Kairos blanket exercise facilitator. She is honoured to be a part of the CIFS board and to live in this beautiful Treaty 7 territory.

Michelle Dinunzio

Michelle is Cree Metis who’s paternal ancestry is from Buffalo Lake, AB. Born and raised in Moh’kinstsis she is grateful to be able to call Treaty 7 home. Michelle is the social media director for both Colouring it forward and CIF Reconciliation Society. Raised by her Father a local Metis artist/wood carver, she grew up immersed in Indigenous arts, culture and spirituality, and is looking to reconnect with that side of herself again.
